Mullein Leaf (Verbascum thapsus) has long been the herbalist's first ally when the breath needs clearing and the lungs need a little extra love.
Known in Old World folklore as Aaron's Rod and Jupiter's Staff, this biennial plant was once dried and dipped in tallow to light the way through dark winter nights. Its energy is one of gentle protection and steadfast courage: a torch in the fog, a hand on your back when the air feels heavy.
Traditionally used to support respiratory health and soothe irritated throats, mullein leaf brews into a mild, slightly sweet tea with an earthy, leafy aroma. The cut leaves unfold slowly in hot water, releasing their medicine without bitterness.
Suggested use:
Steep 1-2 teaspoons of dried leaf in 8 oz of freshly boiled water for 10-15 minutes. Strain well (mullein's tiny leaf hairs mean business - a fine mesh strainer or tea bag is your friend here). Drink up to 3 cups daily during times of chest congestion, seasonal transition, or whenever you need to breathe a little deeper.
Ritual note:
Mullein carries the energy of illumination and safe passage. Burn as a smoke cleansing herb, tuck a leaf into a protection charm, or sip mindfully while setting an intention to speak your truth with clarity and calm.

Consult a qualified healthcare practitioner before use if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or taking medications. Not intended for children under 12. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
